Erin Mills Scottish Country Dancers:
Why not come and try it here in Mississauga. A series of classes over the winter months costs less than a weekly visit to the movies. You don't have to bring a partner. The form of the dance gives dancers an opportunity to mix and make new acquaintances.
As you become more interested in Scottish Country Dancing, you discover weekend classes near and far. The picture below shows a group of us at a workshop in Pawling, New York.
Come and join the fun!
A new dancer needs only a good pair of soft soled shoes or they may purchase an inexpensive pair of dancing slippers (ballet slippers for the ladies, ghillies for the men). Acquiring a kilt or a fancy ball gown is not necessary.
The Erin Mills Scottish Country Dance Group hosts classes for:
• Adult Beginners • Adult Intermediate • Youth
Adult classes are divided into Basic Technique and Intermediate, meeting at different locations. The Youth Class is held with the Adult Basic Technique Class.
Basic Adult & Youth Class: Tuesdays from 7:15pm until 10:00pm, September through May. Early in the season we start at 7:00pm for new dancers to give them additional experience in the basic technique.
