2025 at Newcastle: North American Team

The 25 dancers represent two Canadian provinces and nine US states. We had six entries in the Festival —
two Ladies’ Teams, two Mixed Teams, a Men's Team, and a Display Cohort. Each team (display excepted) performed
a quick time dance and a strathspey. Here’s how we fared in the various Classes. . .

2. * The N.A. team’s Display Dance merged contemporary Scottish Country Dancing with the North American
   tradition of Scottish dancing, and the Cape Breton step dance repertoire, using fast strathspey steps inspired
   by early 20th century Highland dancing.
